ADHD Gospel, Day 51

Pay attention and stand guard. Read Mark 13:1-31.

There’s a lot left to happen in this world. God has given us insight into what will come to pass int he future days. As Jesus is sharing all of these details with the disciples, the one thing that he starts everything off with is a reminder to not be deceived. In order for that to happen, the disciples had to pay attention and watch out.

People don’t intend to be deceived. People don’t stand around and think, “I really hope somebody lies to me, and I believe it.” However, if we are not staying focused, that is exactly what can happen. We are to be focused on Jesus. We are to listen to Jesus. And we are to recognize that he is the only one with the words of life. Everyone that we hear, we are to measure next to what Jesus says.

Do we study and know what Jesus has said so well that we can recognize when others are trying to deceive us? Stay focused on Jesus and all that he has said so that we can watch out against others who might deceive us.
