The Weeping Prophet, Day 40

An assassination plot. Read Jeremiah chapter 40.

As the people are being carried off into exile, Jeremiah is recognized and given his freedom. He decides to go to the house of the governor and stay. They learn of an assassination plot, but the governor discredits it and says its nothing.

Do we listen to the advisors around us? How can we know who to believe? The governor believed the wrong people and he ended up being killed. Are we measuring our choices next to the only standard, Jesus Christ?
