The Weeping Prophet, Day 46

Judgment, but only so far. Read Jeremiah chapter 46.

As the people are planning their disobedience and doing exactly what God told them not to do, God shares that he is going to judge them and also Egypt. He indicates that he will utterly destroy Egypt, and he will discipline his people. But, that is not to be the end. God disciples us to be able to help us learn and grow, and also to display His holiness. The people had sinned against him and were to be disciplined. But, God would bring about their restoration. He would not remain in judgment forever and would restore them.

God reminds us that we are to be obedient and when we are not, God will do what he needs to do to bring us back to him. Are we willing to turn back to him and allow him to restore us?
