Book of Revival, Day 31

Get together and review God’s word. Read Deuteronomy chapter 31.

Moses reminds the people that all of the things he has just told them, this should not be the only time they hear it. They are to get together regularly and go over all of these things again and again. Why would they do that? Because we all have a tendency to forget what God has told us. We get distracted and think about other things instead of what God has told us we should be doing. As a result, God told the people that they were to get together once a year and review everything. This also allowed the foreigners or people who had moved into the country to have the opportunity to hear God’s word as well.

How often do we review what God wants us to do? How often are we refreshing our memory of all the things that God has commanded us? How regularly do we remember and reflect on his promises?
