The Journey of Ruth, Day 1

I am spending some time in Ruth in another study that I am going through, so I am going to spend a few brief days here with this amazing book as well. Read Ruth chapter 1.

Ruth is determined to follow her mother in law Naomi. However, Naomi continues to try to convince her to return back to where she is from. When we have been in situations where we have sought to be obedient to Lord, there were always people who were trying to convince us to turn back. How did we respond to them?

Eventually, Ruth was so emphatic with her decision that Naomi had no choice but to accept that Ruth was going to do what God had told her to do. When we have opportunities for obedience, are we that emphatic in our intention to be obedient to the purpose that God has set before us? Do we continue strong even when the opposition is trying to convince us multiple times and in multiple ways to abandon our plan? How can we be more diligent in our obedience like Ruth?
