Who is God? Day 6

God is our strength and provider. Read Nahum chapter 2, focusing on verses 11-13.

The lion thought it was the strongest beast out there, and it’s a great analogy for what Assyria was thinking. They thought they were the strongest nation out there. However, God is showing them differently.

When we take a look at who is God, we have to admit that he is the one who is our provider. He is the one who is our strength. The people of Nineveh thought that they were providing for themselves through their own strength. They thought they were mastering the other people around them through their own strength. However, God is the one who provides those for us.

We should never take for granted that our strength is our own. We only have the strength we have because God has allowed us to have it. We only have the things we have because God has allowed it. God is our provider and he is our strength. He is the one we are to trust in, not in ourselves.

When we look at our life and our situation. Do we recognize just how truly dependent on him we are for everything that we have? We can trust in God today because he is trustworthy. He is our strength and he is our provider.
