The Encouragement Letter, Day 9

Encourage others. Read 1 Thessalonians 5:12-15.

Paul has been sharing the importance of encouraging other people. He wrote the entire letter to encourage the Thessalonians, and now, as he’s coming to a close, he wants them to understand how important it is that they pass along what they have received from him. He has encouraged them so they are to encourage others.

Why do we receive the things that we receive? We receive them so that we can bless other people. We see that theme over and over throughout the entire Bible. God blesses us so that we will bless others. God encourages us so that we will encourage others. God comforts us so that we will comfort others. When we take a look at the encouragement we have received over the years, how can we turn that back and encourage other people? How can we focus on encouraging others more today?
