Leading Through Challenging Circumstances, Day 46

The kingdoms. Read Daniel 7:16-27.

As Daniel has had this vision, he doesn’t immediately know or understand what it means. The vision includes some ideas that are a little odd and troubling. Daniel goes straight to God. He knew that God gave him a vision in the first place, and that God can give him the answer and the interpretation. Daniel asks God to provide that.

As God is sharing with Daniel what this vision means, Daniel understood that God is sharing with him multiple different kingdoms that are going to rule and what will happen to them. God is not leaving Daniel out in the cold or keeping him in the dark. God is giving Daniel an idea of what is coming in the future.

We can trust God. We can rest assured that when God wants us to know what’s going to happen, he will provide us that information. We don’t always need to know what’s coming up, but there can be times when God feels it’s important to give us an inside look at what comes to pass. God provided this vision to Daniel, but ultimately, the best takeaway from that vision is the knowledge that Jesus Christ will come and will reign forever. Jesus Christ is over all things and God wants the people to know that. No matter what difficult or challenging circumstance we are facing right now, we can rest in the knowledge that God is in control and is over absolutely everything.
