Leading Through Challenging Circumstances, Day 50

A sneak peak. Read Daniel 8:17-25.

Gabriel has promised to tell Daniel what the vision means. Daniel is nervous, worried, and scared and yet God has indicated that Daniel needs to know this information. Gabriel begins to share, but he gives him this verse first, so that way Daniel realizes these are about things that are going to come about in the future. These are not necessarily things that are going to happen soon.

Most of us like getting a sneak peek into the future. We like that process of understanding all that is going to happen. We feel like it gives us a better sense of control or more ways to plan. God promises to make sure that we have everything we need to be obedient to him, but that does not always mean that we need a sneak peek. God chose to give Daniel a sneak peek, but we need to recognize that does not mean that we will always get a sneak peek of what is coming in the future.

We need to be content and allow God to work and move in our lives, regardless, if we know what is going to happen or not. Are we willing to allow God to move in our life, to give us a sneak peek of what’s coming? But, are we willing to be obedient to God even if he chooses not to?
