ADHD Gospel, Day 31

Who am I? Read Mark 8:22-30.
This is often seen as one of the biggest questions of life. Who are we? Why are we here? Jesus confronted this question head on because he knew exactly who he was and definitively why he was here on Earth. The question was more about whether or not others knew who he was or why he was there. When Jesus asked his disciples what other people thought about Jesus, it wasn’t as defined, but when then Jesus made it personal. Who did they think that he was? Now, given the stories just a few verses ago, it is important that Jesus asked. The disciples had demonstrated that they didn’t understand what he was doing when they were complaining that they didn’t have enough bread. Jesus wanted them to know who he was.
If knowing who we are is one of the biggest questions, then have others know who we are and still accept us is one of the biggest desires of our hearts. There is nothing so painful as sharing who we are and then being rejected. Thankfully, Jesus knows just exactly how sinful we are and he still loves us, accepts us, and seeks to help mold us into His image.
Are we coming to Jesus just as we are? He sees us and He wants us to know Him just like He knows us.
