ADHD Gospel, Day 46

He looked around. Read Mark 11:1-11.

I don’t think I ever noticed this before. You see, before Jesus goes in and starts throwing out the money changers, he actually has checked out the scene before hand. Jesus didn’t just impulsively react to what he saw in the temple, he realized it was a trend and that it had been happening regularly. Jesus went into the temple the day before. You see, we will see Jesus get angry at the money changers in our verses tomorrow, but today, we see that he saw then at work and knew what was going on.

I used to think that Jesus had righteous anger and that it was impulsive. Instead, he had actually looked at the situation and had seen what was going on. He made the decision to act out of His desire to see God glorified.

When we are looking at situations, do we take time to evaluate and to pray about the situation. Do we look around first to make sure that everything is as anticipated? We need to be thoughtful as we seek God and act on His will for us.
