Christian Devotional – May 26, 2014

Read 1 John chapter 1

VERSE:

1 John 1:10–If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

TRUTH:

Do we talk like we are perfect? Do we act like we are perfect? Only God is perfect and if we are claiming it, we are lying to ourselves, others, and God. We cannot truly understand God and His sacrifice on our behalf if we think we aren’t in need of a sacrifice. God’s word points us to our need of a sacrifice. God’s word points us to our need for a Savior. Do we acknowledge our need for a Savior, or are we a liar?

RESPONSE:

Father, I am not perfect. I know that, yet sometimes because of pride I try to act like I’m better than I really am. I confess that is wrong. I will depend on You to make it trough. Thank You for all You have done for me! I love You!
