VERSE:
Daniel 11:32–With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.
TRUTH:
As Daniel moves through several prophecies here in the end of the book he makes this statement. Regardless of whether these prophecies have already been fulfilled or are yet to be fulfilled, this statement will stand as true in all times. There will always be those who seek to corrupt people and turn them using flattery and coercion. We must decide now, before we face the temptation, whether we will be the person who will allow ourselves to be corrupted or if we will firmly resist. Only through God will we be able to have the strength to resist the evils that will seek to distract and persuade us. Are we prepared to firmly resist anything outside of God?
RESPONSE:
Father, I pray that You will help me to clearly see what is from You and what is not. I know that You will be the One who is able to resist through me and I pray that You will have full control of me so that I will not be easily corrupted by flattery or anything else. Keep me firm and ground in You and Your Word as I go through my day today.
