Christian Devotional – November 16, 2016

Read Job chapter 9

VERSE:

Job 9:33–If only there were someone to mediate between us, someone to bring us together.

TRUTH:

Job is responding again and this time he recognizes that he needs to speak with God. He needs a relationship with God, but that he has no one who can speak on his behalf. There is no one who is able to stand in the presence of almighty God and plead his case. Job recognizes his need and it is the same need that we all have. We all need to have someone who can bridge the gap between Holy God and sinful man. Thankfully, God recognized this need as well and He sent His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus is the mediator between us and God so that He can bring us together. Are we allowing Jesus Christ to bridge the gap that our sin created between us and God?

RESPONSE:

Father, I need You every single day to bridge the gap of my sin. I desire to have a relationship with God and I am so thankful that through Jesus Christ, I can.
