Read Job chapter 13
VERSE:
Job 13:15–“Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face.”
TRUTH:
Job is speaking here and he makes an incredibly strong point. Job indicates that even if God were to kill him, he would continue to trust God. Each and every one of us must come to the same decision that no matter what God is doing in our lives, because we have surrendered ourselves to the Lordship of Christ, He has every right to do with us whatever He wants. We can always trust in Him and recognize that He sees the big picture. He sees how circumstances are going to bring Him the most glory. He will continue to use us and work through us. Will we let Him?
RESPONSE:
Father, it’s not an easy prayer to pray, but I know that You have the right to do with me whatever You wish. Even though You may choose to slay me, I will continue to hope in You. Use my life or my death in whatever way You wish to bring You the most glory. My only hope is in You.

That’s a hard one to pray for your own death while you are living what you hope is a good life. But yes, whatever gives God the most glory.
