Devotional – December 3, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 130:5–I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, and in His word do I hope.

TRUTH:
Waiting is so hard! Most of us have figured out how to avoid waiting or to shorten our wait time for things. God doesn’t work that way. We wait for the Lord. He will always move in His own perfect time. But, He doesn’t leave us alone while we wait. Plus, we have His word. We use His word to remind ourselves of the promises of God and place our trust and hope in Him and His timing.

RESPONSE:
Lord, I don’t always understand Your timing, but I will wait for You. I will hope in You because You never leave me alone. I will rest in the promises of Your word!
