Devotional – December 2, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 129:2–Many times they have persecuted me from my youth up; Yet they have not prevailed against me.

TRUTH:
We are rarely ever attacked just once. The enemies will generally attack over and over again looking for us to give up, give in, or stumble and fall. Because of Christ, we can say, like the psalmist, that though we’ve been attacked several times, they have not prevailed against us. Only by resting and relying on Christ can we overcome the many attacks and stay faithful and obedient to Him. Are we relying on Him today? We can be sure the attacks will come.

RESPONSE:
Lord, I will trust You and through Your strength I will stand, no matter what comes against me today. I know that through You they will not prevail against me.
