Devotional – August 9, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 54:4–Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is the sustainer of my soul.

TRUTH:
Sustainer is such a beautiful word. I see a picture of God holding and sheltering a person in one hand while lovingly providing for her needs with the other. The Lord provides us with what we need to be able to keep going even through the darkest times. He sustains us.

RESPONSE:
Lord, it is only through Your provision that I am able to make it through each day. I will trust You to provide what I need for today.
