VERSE: Song of Solomon 6:1–Where has your beloved gone, O most beautiful among women? Where has your beloved turned, that we may seek him with you? RESPONSE: Lord, help me to be more of a friend to my husband and for my words to him and about him to be full of sweetness.

VERSE: Song of Solomon 4:7–You are altogether beautiful, my darling, and there is no blemish in you. TRUTH: The bridegroom loved to praise and compliment his beloved. He loved her and praised her physical beauty. Sometimes, the longer we’ve been together, the less spouses praise and compliment one another. Do we still tell our beloved how he/she looks to us? Do we accept these compliments from our spouse graciously? RESPONSE: Lord, you have indeed given me an amazing man. I pray that You will help me to tell him what he means to me today and help me to accept the compliments that he gives to me.

She shared with him how wonderful and unique he was, and how he protected and provided for her. Do we compliment our spouse or share with them our appreciation of all they do? VERSE: Song of Solomon 1:4–“Draw me after you and let us run together! The king has brought me into his chambers.” “We will rejoice in you and be glad; we will extol your love more than wine. Rightly do they love you.” TRUTH: The love that the bride has for the bridegroom draws them together and is celebrated by those who are around them. The love we share with Christ should also draw us closer to Him and be celebrated by others. Is the relationship we have with our husband/wife drawing us together? Is the love we share exciting and praiseworthy by others? Does the relationship with our spouse mirror…

VERSE: 2 Corinthians 13:11–Finally brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. TRUTH: All that we need and all that we are should be found in Christ. His love and peace through us can help us to rejoice, be made complete, and all those other characteristics listed above. It’s a circle; if we follow His commands to rejoice, be made complete, and the others, then we’ll experience more and more of the love and peace of Christ. That will then help us to rejoice more. RESPONSE: Lord, thank You for providing us with everything we…

VERSE: 2 Corinthians 12:10–Therefore I am content with weakness, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then I am strong. TRUTH: Can we say that we are content with our weaknesses and surrender them to God so that Christ is shown strong through us? Paul knew that was the secret to living because our strength comes from the Lord. RESPONSE: Father, You are so amazing and You give such strength. VERSE: 2 Corinthians 11:30–If I have to boast, I will of what pertains to my weakness. TRUTH: Often, God chooses to exalt Himself through the weaknesses we have. He shows His might, power, and glory in all these area if we will turn them over to Him. The only thing we can truly boast about is that the Lord has moved in our life! RESPONSE: Lord, may I only boast in Your movement through me. Nothing I do on my own is worthy of anything, only that which You do through me.
