ADHD Gospel, Day 58

He can’t. Read Mark 15:16-32.
The people were watching Jesus be crucified. As they were watching him, they noticed that he did not save himself. He didn’t come down from the cross. As a result, they made the assumption that he couldn’t do it.
Often when we are looking at information or seeking to understand things, we can find out quickly and easily what happened. But that does not mean that we understand why something happened. The people here saw what was happening. Jesus was being crucified, but they did not understand the why. They thought he didn’t come down from the cross because he was not able to. However, the truth of the matter is that he did not come down from the cross because he understood God’s purpose and was seeking to fulfill that. They couldn’t understand and would never have thought that someone chose to be crucified. But, that is exactly what Jesus did so that he could demonstrate salvation for all of us.
Jesus Christ is capable of doing anything thing he chooses to, but he is going to follow the commands of God even in situations that are difficult and that most people would not choose. Don’t make the mistake of assuming that because Jesus doesn’t do something in our lives, that he can’t do it. If Jesus isn’t doing something, it’s because He is being obedient to God. We are to be obedient as well.
