Christian Devotional – April 11, 2014

Read Deuteronomy chapter 27

VERSE:

Deuteronomy 27:9–Then Moses and the Levitical priests said to all Israel, “Be silent, Israel, and listen! You have now become the people of the Lord your God.”

TRUTH:

As the people were listening and dedicating themselves to God, Moses reminded them to take time to be silent. They needed to take the time to hear what God was saying so that they could follow Him. They were not able to follow Him if they weren’t listening to what He said. The same goes for us. Do we take time in our busy life to listen for God and to hear what He says? How will we know we are following Him if we don’t take the time to listen.

RESPONSE:

Father, My life seems busier and busier every single day. You know all that the is going on, yet You also know that I will never survive if I don’t take the time to listen to You. I desire to hear You and Your word so that I can follow You through even the most busy of times.
