Christian Devotional – April 30, 2019

Stay focused. No matter what is going on in our lives, we are to stay focused on all that God has commanded us to do. Read 1 Timothy 1:18-20.

This command I entrust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you fight the good fight, keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith. Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan, so that they will be taught not to blaspheme.

There are consequences to not staying focused. This world has many distractions. If we are not careful, we will find ourselves chasing something else besides what God has for us. It happened in Timothy’s time as we see here a couple of people listed who lost their focus. Keep the focus on God and all that He has for us.
