Same sad song, second verse. Elijah meets with God. God again asks what he is doing and Elijah gives him the same answer. Read 1 Kings 19:13-14.
When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” Then he said, “I have been very zealous for the Lord , the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars and killed Your prophets with the sword. And I alone am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”

He still feels alone and he still is sad and depressed. Sometimes there is no immediate response to the prayers that we pray. God hears us and God wants to know exactly what we think, but sometimes things don’t change immediately with how we feel. God understands that and still wants to be with us and walk with us through it.
Like Elijah, will we move forward and still meet with God when He calls us, knowing that he is walking through it with us?
