Christian Devotional – August 11, 2016

Read 1 Kings chapter 18

VERSE:

1 Kings 18:37–“Answer me, Lord, answer me, so these people will know that you, Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.”

TRUTH:

As Elijah was preparing for showing the people the power of God in a most dramatic fashion, he prayed. Elijah prayed loud enough that everyone could hear him. Elijah knew that God wanted to remind the people that He was their God and not any of these other false and fake things they had turned to. God will do the same thin in our lives if we set up anything else as God in our lives. Will we have the courage to go and to share with others the truth of who God is and who He wants to be in their lives? God desires to show Himself to people, is He able to use us to do that?

RESPONSE:

Father, thank You for all that You have done in our lives. I will pray that You will use me to shine Your light in every corner so that others will see and be drawn to You, Thanks You for all that You have done for me and through me to impact others.
