Christian Devotional – December 14, 2016

Read Job chapter 29

VERSE:

Job 29:2–“How I long for the months gone by, for the days when God watched over me.”

TRUTH:

When we go through difficult times, it’s easy to feel abandoned by God and think that He’s not there. Job felt exactly that way. He had experienced severe tragedies in his life and he didn’t feel God’s presence through it. Yet, God was there with him and God still heard him and was the same God that He was for Job before the tragedies struck. God is also here for us, even when we don’t feel Him. Will we trust His words to us that He will never leave us or forsake us?

RESPONSE:

Father, I don’t always feel You with me, but I won’t trust my feelings; I will trust Your truth. You are with me and You hear my prayers. I will focus on You and only You even through the dark and difficult times of my life.
