The Voice of the Prophet, Day 32

Peace and Confidence. Read Isaiah chapter 32.

In all the discussion from previous chapters about the Lord’s judgment, we need to make sure we understand exactly what God’s justice brings about. You see, God bringing judgment on people paves the way for the righteousness of God to be seen. When God’s justice is experienced, God’s righteousness overflows. There’s some incredible benefits to the righteousness of God. God’s righteousness brings peace and confidence.

Without God’s righteousness, we cannot experience peace and we will not have confidence. We cannot experience God’s righteousness without understanding God’s justice. These two things go together. We must understand and experience the justice of God, because without God’s justice, there would be no righteousness.

We will not understand the blessings that we receive, if we do not understand what we actually deserve. Are we experiencing the peace and the confidence of God? Amazingly, that peace and confidence is not dependent on circumstances. We may be going through incredibly difficult, challenging, and tough times, but that does not mean that we can’t also simultaneously be experiencing the peace and the confidence of God in our lives.

Are we allowing God to work and move in our lives so that we understand his justice and are impacted by his righteousness? Live out the peace and confidence of God today.
