The God who Hears, Day 29

God gets David out of a tight spot. Read 1 Samuel chapter 29.

David was living in enemy territory and pretending to be on the same side as his enemies. However, he had been secretly fighting against them. However, the time has come that these Philistines are going to fight against Israel and David has to come and fight with them. However, because of rumors and David’s reputation, God uses that so that David is able to get out of the situation and not have to fight against his own brothers.

As we saw yesterday, God didn’t tell David to go on this plan and to go live among the Philistines, but he did anyway. Now, God is working to get David and out of the difficult situation that he got himself into.

Sometimes we find ourselves in difficult situations that we’ve got ourselves into. Still, God doesn’t abandon us. He helps us find our way out and he is more than willing to get us back on the right track if we will continue to trust in him and seek him. Are we looking to God through our difficult circumstances? When we slip up, do we come back to him and allow him to help us get on the right path again?
