Praising the Word, Day 17

What makes us sad? Read Psalm 119:129-136.

It can be so easy to be thankful for the blessings and the wonderful things that God does in our lives. Also, it is normal to be frustrated by the difficulties that we experience in life. But how do we feel about other people’s sin? A lot of times we just get angry at what they have done or are doing. Maybe we’re frustrated by how it impacts us.

However, I love that the psalmist in this verse is looking at the sin of others and feels sadness. We should look at other people’s sin and realize how sad it is that they do not follow God. How sad it is that they are not receiving the benefits of a life of following Christ.

Are we focusing on all that God is doing and wants to do in our lives? And do we feel the sadness when we see others not following Christ.
