The Voice of the Prophet, Day 62

Wanted. Read Isaiah chapter 62.

As God continues to describe for Isaiah what things will look like when he has made everything right, we see people go from being unwanted to being sought after and desired. When God restores us, he does it because he wants us. He desires to have us with him.

This feeling of being wanted is something that we are often chasing in this world. We want people to want us and to desire us. We want to feel like what we do has meaning and purpose. Here we see that as God has restored us, we have purpose and we are very much wanted.

God desires us. Are we seeking our identity in God and resting in the knowledge that he gives us meaning and purpose?
