At the Right Moment, Day 8

Problem-solving. Read Esther chapter 8.

Haman has been killed, but the threat still remains. We find out that the evil decree that Haman had giveth people cannot be changed. It cannot be done away with or deleted. The decree will stand, so now the question becomes, what can Esther and Mordecai do to provide the Jews salvation.

They ended up writing a decree to state that the Jews have the right to defend themselves and to kill anyone who attacks them and take all of their belongings. They can’t take away the decree that gives people the right to attack them. But they can ensure that the people are able to protect themselves and defend themselves. It says that this decree actually struck fear in the heart of everybody around them and many people became Jews after this decree went out.

Sometimes, part of being in the right place at the right time is about solving problems in a way that is going to glorify God. It’s so important to allow God to give us ideas and us act on them, even when we aren’t sure exactly what the right answer is. God knows the right answer to every question, and God is the ultimate problem solver because for him, there are no problems.

God is able to move in every situation. We simply need to trust him and allow him to provide us the answer we need. Are we waiting on God to give us solutions to the issues that we face every day? Are we coming to him and seeking him for those solutions?
