The Encouragement Letter, Day 1

Received the message with power. Read 1 Thessalonians chapter 1.

Paul wrote this letter based on the report that he had heard back about how well the believers in Thessalonica were doing. He wanted to praise them for the report he had heard. He wanted to thank them for all that they were doing. And, he wanted to encourage them to keep it up.

We all need a little encouragement every so often. It’s great to be reminded that people know who we are, they see what we’re doing, and they believe in us. We don’t do enough of that type of encouragement. As believers in Christ, we can never see all that God is using us to do and yet, being able to have those pieces of encouragement is so important.

Who do we need to reach out to and tell them they had impacted us? What do we need to do to be encouragement to others today? Paul starts off this letter by reminding these people of how enthusiastically they accepted the message of Christ. Who do we know who enthusiastically received the message of Christ? Make it a goal today to reach out to that person and tell them how much you admired that in them.
