Christian Devotional – July 17, 2012

VERSE:
Isaiah 25:1–O Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You. I will give thanks to Your name; for You have worked wonders, plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.

TRUTH:
Why do we praise God? Because He is God. He is over all and worthy of all our praise. Also, He has done great and amazing things. Why, because those things are a reflection of who He is. He is faithful, therefore, He follows through on His plans from the beginning of time. Do we praise God for who He is? Do we exalt Him and thank Him because He is faithful to what He said He will do?

RESPONSE:
Lord, You are my God, I will exalt You and give thanks to You. You are faithful to do all that You have said You will do and all that You have purposed. I will rest in Your faithfulness knowing that You are over all and in control of all.
