Not impressed. While Ahab may have been impressed and in awe of all that Elijaha was doing, Ahab’s wife Jezebel was not. Read 1 Kings 19:1-2.
Now Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So may the gods do to me and even more, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.”

Well, Jezebel wasn’t impressed with Elijah. In fact, she wanted to kill him. She let him know that she was going to make it her mission to kill him in the next 24 hrs. She didn’t want to mince words and she didn’t leave any doubt. Elijah had to die.
When we are following what God has us to do, and especially after we have just experienced a great spiritual win, expect the attack to come. Satan is not going to be happy and he is going to make sure that he tries to tear down, not just what was accomplished, but tear down us as well.
Are we willing to stand, even in the face of the difficulties and opposition that we may be facing? We’ll see how Elijah responds tomorrow.
