Christian Devotional – July 31, 2013

VERSE:

Jeremiah 32:39–I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me and that all will then go well for them and for their children after them.

TRUTH:

When God promises to restore the people, one characteristic of their restoration is that the people will have a singleness of heart and action. As God restores us, He gives us the same singleness of heart and action. We desire the things He desires. We do the things He would do. We will seek Him and fear Him and love Him above everything else. Do we have Him as the single focus in our heart? If not, we must come to God and allow Him to restore that area of our heart so that we are focused solely on Him.

RESPONSE:

Father, You are my sole focus and desire. As my Father and Restorer, You love me and I will focus on loving You with all that I am. I praise You and will focus on You alone.
