Times of Transition, Day 1

Do we recognize the need for change? Read 1 Kings chapter 1.

My life is a time of significant change right now. Change is inevitable, and we see it in our lives regularly. We have to come to the place where we recognize that change is God’s plan for us. He wants us to continue to evolve, grow, and become more like him. That only happens through change.

When we look at our lives, we have to understand when change is needed. We have to be open to that change. We have to allow God to guide the change. We cannot change just for the sake of change, but all of our changes must be guided by God’s hand and in his timing. David saw that in his own life. He was king and he was still alive but he recognized that it was time for change. He went ahead and appointed his successor so there would be no question as to who God had set up to be king after him.

Do we follow through when changes needed or are we hanging on to the status quo longer than God wants us to?
