Christian Devotional – July 9, 2012

VERSE:
Isaiah 17:7–In that day man will have regard for his Maker and his eyes will look to the Holy One of Israel.

TRUTH:
Isaiah is telling of an upcoming day of destruction and judgment for a nearby nation. In that day, people will be forced to see and acknowledge the greatness and power of God. In that day, man will acknowledge all that God can do and the position that God has in the universe. Will we wait until it is too late and we are facing judgment to accept that this is who God is? Whether we believe it now or later, God is over all and one day all will see and acknowledge His power and position.

RESPONSE:
Lord, You are over all and one way or another everyone will see and acknowledge You for who You are. I choose to acknowledge and accept it now, and I praise You for Your power and glory in the whole of Your creation and in my life.
