Christian Devotional – June 10, 2016

Read Hebrews chapter 13

VERSE:

Hebrews 13:6–So we say with confidence, :The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

TRUTH:

This verse, quoting from Psalm 118, reminds us that God is with us and is our helper. There is nothing that people can do to us that surprises God or that God can’t work through. We can say this verse with confidence. The question is, do we? Do we actually live knowing that there is nothing on this earth that we need to be afraid of. No one who can truly snatch us away from God. He is our helper and we don’t have to be afraid of anything that comes our way because He is greater than all of His creation. Are we living today in fear or in the confidence that we know the Creator of all things?

RESPONSE:

Father, I praise You for all that You are doing and all that You have done through me. I may not always understand, but I can certain always live out my faith in You, knowing that there is nothing that people can do to me that hasn’t been through Your hands.
