Keep the commandment. We have been given a charge to be able to follow the commands of Christ. Read 1 Timothy 6:13-14.
I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Paul is closing out his letter to Timothy and he is ending with a charge and challenge for Timothy. He knows that Timothy is going to be tempted and distracted and it will be difficult to make sure that he is following Christ, so Paul is making it clear his expectations of Timothy.
God has the same expectations for us. We are to live out the same challenge that Paul gave Timothy. Are we keeping the commandment without stain and following Christ knowing that he will come back some day and we need to be sure we are ready. We want to be proud of what we have done.
This charge and challenge goes to us as well. How are we doing with it? Would Paul be proud of us if he were to come back and see us?
