Christian Devotional – June 16, 2019

Don’t trust money. A lot is made about money in the world we live in. People pursue it, desire it, and give up many things to be able to have more of it. So what does Paul say about it? Read 1 Timothy 6:17.

Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.

Having money shouldn’t change the way you think or what you do. However, there is a temptation to do just that. God is the source of our hope and our security, yet if we are not careful, we will begin to trust in money instead.

God is the only thing that truly gives security, not our money. Are we placing our trust in him today?
