Christian Devotional – June 18, 2016

Read Micah chapter 3

VERSE:

Micah 3:11–Her leaders judge for a bribe, her priests teach for a price, and her prophets tell futures for money. Yet they look for the Lord’s support and say, “Is not the Lord among us? No disaster will come upon us.”

TRUTH:

The various leaders were not follow God. They were doing the things they did for their own personal gain. They wanted money. They would say whatever a person wanted to hear as long as they received money for it. Why do we do what we do? Are we seeking after God’s best and desiring to see him glorified or are we looking at money or personal gain? Having God is not the same as having money. Which are we focused on having?

RESPONSE:

Father, no matter what, I want You first and foremost. I know that You have all the money in the world and I will never doubt that what You are doing is greater than anything else. Please keep me focused on doing things to glorify You and You alone.
