Philippians 2:17-18 – But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all. You too, I urge you, rejoice in the same way and share your joy with me.
Philippians 2:17-18 NASB

Sacrifice and rejoicing. These two words, which sound so very different from each other, actually go together. As Paul indicates here, he shares his joy with the others because he is sacrificing and pouring himself out for the cause of Christ. When we sacrifice for what God has for us and what God desires in our lives, we have great joy. That seems counterintuitive, but yet it is 100% true.
In the Christian life, sacrifice equals joy. When we look at our life, do we characterize it as a life of sacrifice? Do we understand the importance of sacrifice and what that should look like on a daily basis question work find your joy through sacrifice today.
