VERSE:
Joshua 11:15–As the Lord commanded his servant Moses, so Moses commanded Joshua, and Joshua did it; he left nothing undone of all that the Lord commanded Moses.
TRUTH:
God gave His plans to Moses. Moses did all that he was part of and completed those, then he passed along the remainder to Joshua. Joshua was to carry on and to complete God’s plan, and he did. This may not seem that significant, but how often to we hear of people being able to carry on the same vision and plan through two different leaders? Typically the new leader comes in with his/her own vision and moves forward with that instead. The reason this was successful was because both Moses and Joshua acknowledged that ultimately the leader of the people was God and as a result, they were simply to carry out His plans. Do we acknowledge the true leader in our life or are we focused on too many other things trying to carry out our own plans? Make sure that God is the leader in our life so that no matter what changes occur, we are still moving toward His goal for our lives.
RESPONSE:
Father, Thank You for showing that multiple leaders can come in and can adopt Your vision and lead to that. Help me to see Your vision and lead my own life and the lives of my family toward that vision. Thank You for keeping my focus solely on You.
