VERSE:
Matthew 10:20–For it is not you who speak but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
TRUTH:
Jesus knew the disciples were going to experience difficult times. But, He also knew that even in the midst of difficulty, if they would rust in God, then the Spirit would speak through them the words that needed to be spoken. As believers, we are going to experience difficult times as well. Sometimes, it is tempting to try and plan exactly what we are going to say in the midst of these times, yet we don’t have to worry. If we will trust God, then we will see that He will give us the words to say that will be exactly what need to be said at the time. Will we trust God to move and work in us?
RESPONSE:
Father, I will trust You with my words. You know exactly what situations are coming up and how I need to respond to them. I will not worry about what I should say or might say, but will rest in You knowing that You are in control.
