The Weeping Prophet, Day 44

Whose word will stand, ours or God’s? Read Jeremiah chapter 44.

The people continue to tell Jeremiah that they are not going to follow God. It doesn’t matter what Jeremiah says, they are going to do what they want to do. God responds by telling them that they can certainly do what they like, but that God is going to prove himself to be true and then they will have to decide whose word stands, theirs or Gods.

We can test and try everything that we like, but ultimately, God’s way is going to prevail. Are we going to wait for him and walk in his way?
