Read 2 Timothy chapter 2

VERSE:

2 Timothy 2:23–Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.

TRUTH:

Are we avoiding silly arguments, or do we look for them? Some people seem to like to get into silly arguments and they go looking for opportunities to argue with people. We are not to be that type of person. We must work to glorify God and lift Him up no matter what else is going on around us and if we’re busy arguing over silly things then we won’t do that. Now, there are things that are worth standing our ground on, but we must always make sure that we’re not just arguing, just to argue.

RESPONSE:

Father, Thank You for the opportunity to live and work and move each day. Help me to be involved in the important things each day, not in petty arguments with others. I pray You will give me wisdom when I defend Your truth and wisdom when I step back from an argument.
