Christian Devotional – November 28, 2019
Happy Thanksgiving! For those of us in the United States, today is the day that we celebrate and give thanks for all the things that God has done for us. Read Galatians 5:13-15.
For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, ” you shall love your neighbor as yourself .” But if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another.

Many of us often are thankful for the freedoms that we have in the United States. We have freedom through Jesus Christ as well. It’s interesting, freedom in Jesus Christ does not give us permission to go and do whatever we want to. Because we have freedom in Jesus Christ, we are consumed with love for one another and are to treat each other that way.
Our freedom is not permission to follow are fleshly, sinful desires. Our freedom in Christ is opportunity to demonstrate Christian to everyone. Are we thankful for all that God has done in and through our lives? Are we demonstrating that thankfulness by how we show and share Christ to those we are around?
