Are we expecting God to do good things in our life? As we look today on day 6 of the reading plan 30 days thankful in YouVersion.com, the focus is on Psalm 107:1.

What do we expect to receive from God? When we think about all that God and all that God does, do we see him as the source of all that is good in our life? Do we recognize that our attitude of expecting blessing from the Lord impacts our ability to be thankful for what we receive from him?

When we understand that God is good and brings situations into our life as a way to bless us and grow us, then even the difficult situations become an opportunity for praise and thanks to God. No matter what we are going through, God is working to glorify himself through us. Are we expecting that today?
