Days of Wisdom, Day 28

Do we trust in ourselves? Read Proverbs 28.

When we consider all the various items that we do during a day and all the different thoughts and oopportunities that we have, we have to recognize that we truly can’t trust ourselves. We may think that we are smart and capable. We may spend our time learning and trying to grow in the best ways possible, but we have to recognize that we are never going to know what is best for us. Even with all the wisdom that God allows us to have, we will never be able to completely trust our own assessment of situations and our own evaluations.

God is the one we must trust. His knows us better than we know ourselves. God sees the bigger picture in every circumstance. Are we trusting in God to lead and direct us, or are we still trying to lean on ourselves? If we insist on leaning on our own strength, we are fools. We must lean on God and his wisdom for our lives today.
