Christian Devotional – October 3, 2013

VERSE:

Exodus 23:22–If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.

TRUTH:

As we are following God and being obedient to Him, we are not left defenseless. God is our defender and He will be the one to stand up for us. We are simply to focus on Him and on following Him. He will take responsibility for dealing with those people who will inevitably oppose us.

RESPONSE:

Father, I do not have to worry about defending myself. You are the one that I adore and I will follow You and trust You to move in exactly the right situations and circumstances to see all that I go through and to defend me from those who oppose me because of You.
