No Distractions, Day 10

Know your origin story. Read Galatians 3:23-29.

Paul takes this opportunity to remind the people that they need to know and understand where they come from. I enjoy superhero stories and a big part of those stories are the origin story. Superheroes need to know where they come from as it will influence who they are and why they do what they do.

The same is true with us as believers. We need to understand that our origin story begins and ends with Jesus Christ. We have been made children of God as a result of our relationship with him. If we stay focused on who we are in Christ, we can overcome so many of the things that the world is throwing at us. We don’t find ourselves distracted as easily because we know where we come from and we know where we’re going.
